20%! Creativity Mall is committed to the celebration of creativity and
of the artist, so we are glad to offer very low prices for selling your
work on our site. Moreover, we are the first site that unites all types
of creative individuals and artists (including authors, screenwriters,
painters, photographers, clothing designers, entrepreneurs with
business ideas, architects, film directors, inventors, and ANYONE ELSE
WHO IS CREATIVE)! Creativity is truly a special place that hope will
hopefully change the industry, so that people no longer have to go
through publishers, record labels, art dealers, and other
intermediaries to sell their work!
Why not just use eBay to sell my work on eBay?
Because Creativity Mall is the first online community of its kind. Our site site is geared toward creative individuals. eBay is a great "all-around" site for household goods, used items, and collectibles, but it's too broad to be suitable for most writers, artists, and musicians. Creativity Mal, however, wants to be the premier "one-stop shop" where all the needs of creative individuals are met (selling their works, getting recognition, and networking with others in the community.
How can Creativity Mall save me money?
If you have a digital product, for example, you can still set a very
high quantity, since you can practically sell an unlimited number of
e-books, photographs, mp3's, etc.
In general, what is the process for listing my item on Creativity Mall?
First
you have to register. Your first listing with us is FREE! That's right!
There's ABSOLUTELY NO RISK to try CreativityMall.com! From the "My
Account" page click on "new listing." You can also click on "Sell" or
"List an Item" in the top menu bars under the Creativity Mall logo.
Choose the appropriate category. In the "Listing Details" page
you'll put in a catchy title and an honest, objective, and informative
description. The description box uses a WYSIWYG html editor, so you can
really make your listings eye-catching and functional with colorful
text and links. Enter the quantity of items available in the auction.
If you have only 1 item for sale, your auction is a "Standard Auction." If you have more than 1 item for sale, you will have to select "Dutch" from the "Type of Auction" drop-down menu. In a Dutch Auction,
the seller offers 2 or more of an identical item. The auction may have
multiple winning bidders. The Dutch Auction is a powerful tool if the
seller has practically an unlimited quantity of works for sale. For
example, if you are selling digital copies of a book,if you are selling
high resolution JPEGs, or if you're selling MP3s of your own music,
then you can sell an infinite amount of them because they're just
files, right? If this applies to you, you can have one listing with a
quantity set real high (e.g. 10,000). Then you can acommodate a large
number of buyers, while still paying for only one listing! At the end
of the auction, you may have 2,000 winning bidders for a PDF of a book,
for example.
For how long should I list my item?
You
can list your item for any period of time ranging from a couple days to
2 months. Keep in mind that unless your listing has the "Buy It Now"
feature enabled, the winning bidder is not expected to pay the seller
until the auction or listing has ended. Keep this in mind when setting
the duration. The longer you set the duration, the more exposure you
will get. However, a long duration may dissuade potential buyers,
because they may not want to wait so long to get the item.
What information should be in the listing?
You should have:
1) A catchy, short, & relevant title
2) Be honest and clear in your description of the item. If you're
selling a piece of writing, we encourage you to include information
about the length and a summary or excerpt. If selling photography,
offer a watermarked or low-resolution version of the photograph. If
selling a film or animation, you can also include an embedded video or
a link to the video on YouTube or Google Video, for example. If selling
music, you can offer a link or embedded audio of a sample or a low
quality version of the music (You can also use YouTube for this. Also
available is the embedded media player on Imeem.com. You can use any
other embedded audio player of your choosing.
3) Give appropriate sizes, if applicable
4) How will you get the item to the buyers and how fast? (via email,
FedEx, etc.) Inlude shipping and handling prices, if applicable
5) You can include some info about yourself (your creative resumé)
6) You can include a link to your personal site or gallery, if you have one.
I won the auction. How do I pay for the item?
Creativity Mall encourages buyers to pay sellers via PayPal, because
PayPal is a respected and safe method of payment. They offer fraud
protection, which is more insurance that you'll get from sending cash
or a money order in the mail
Do I pay for the item through Creativity Mall?
No, Creativity Mall is not a store. We act only as an agent to bring
together creative sellers and buyers. We are an online marketplace and
community, but payment occurs between the seller and the buyer. Don't
worry, though! This is very similar to eBay's relationship with it's
buyers and sellers.
While we don't handle payment between buyers and
sellers, we have toolsand have suggestions to make your experience on
CreativityMall.com simple, safe, and reliable. First, we suggest that
buyers and sellers use only PayPal in their transactions. PayPal is
currently one of the fastest, safest, and most trusted ways to send and
receive money on the internet. PayPal offers insurance and fraud
protection. We also offer a feedback rating system, that rates buyers
and sellers after transactions. This is very similar to eBay's rating
system. A higher rating implies more sales and/or purchases. Sellers
who are reliable, trustworthy, and active on Creativity Mall have the
highest ratings. Users of the site can also vote on whether or not they
recommend a seller's product(s).
A winning bid is a binding contract between the buyer
and the seller. The buyer is expected to pay the winning price along
with any necessary shipping and handling fees. The seller is then
responsible to fulfill the order and to provide the buyer with the item
in a timely manner. Hopefully, the item will arrive within the time
fame advertised in the description. Moreover, it's absolutely
imperative that the seller includes info about how the item will get to
the seller, how much it will cost (if anything), and how soon the buyer

The seller should say in the auction if the item will be emailed,
shipped, or sent to the buyer some other way. Creative people with
digital works can really take advantage of Creativity Mall's powers
because people essentially have an infinite number of creative works
they can distribute.There are no products to make or to ship. Simply
email a photo, for example, and both buyer and seller are satisfied due
to the fast delivery and lack of shipping charges. Creativity Mall does
not keep any seller's digital media on our servers. Product fulfillment
is entirely dependent on the seller. Sellers, make sure to let
potential buyers know how long they should wait. Buyers, feel free to
contact sellers about expected delivery times, if not listed in the
auction.

you wrote, composed, filmed, or otherwise created your work, then
you're the rightful copyright holder. The buyer of your work is not
allowed to use your work for commercial purposes, unless you have
granted permission for this. Creativity Mall makes no claims to
ownership of the intellectual property sold on Creativity Mall. Our
site is about celebrating creativity and helping creative minds like
you to get recognition and hopefully make some money, as well!
Why does Creativity Mall use an auction format?
The auction format guarantees the most fair price for both buyer and seller, because the final winning bid is based on demand.
You're not strictly limited to using an auction format on
Creativity Mall. If you don't want buyers to wait until the end of your
auction to send payment and to receive the item, then you can choose
the "Buy It Now" option with the "Only Buy It Now Option" selected.
This way, when a buyer is willing to pay the "Buy It Now" price.
